Motorcity organizes HINO Drivers Training Program
Motorcity, the sole distributors of HINO Motors Ltd. Japan in the Kingdom of Bahrain, recently launched the first ever light duty automatic transmission truck to Bahrain by way of a successful training program for its customers and prospects. The 300 series single cab and double cab as well as the 700 series prime mover trucks were made available for the programme. The event took place on January 27th, 2016 at the Bahrain International Circuit and was conducted by the HINO-trained Motorcity service team.
The training program received 50 participants from top companies in Bahrain, including Logistics and Transport, the Food and Beverage Industry, FMCG, as well as Construction and Contracting companies. Two groups of 25 drivers each received a short presentation and the opportunity to test drive the all-new HINO automatic transmission trucks.
HINO is the first brand to introduce an automatic transmission truck in the light duty segment within the kingdom. The HINO 300 series features a standard Euro 3 engine and automatic transmission and has a gross vehicle weight between 4.5 and 8.5 Tonnes. The 700 series is a powerful and reliable truck suitable for various applications such as tankers, crane and cargo body configurations, refuse compactors, dump trucks and trailers offering a hauling capacity of 100 Tonnes.
Arun Kumar Ganesh, Assistant General Manager of Motorcity Commercial vehicles, stated that the continuous product training as a launch initiative has assisted to improve driver product and feature knowledge as well as safe driving techniques which resulted in lower maintenance and down time hours.
